Social Engagement Manager

Job Purpose:

The Social Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role in building and nurturing positive relationships with hosts, guests, and influencers within the HostRooster community. This position is responsible for driving engagement on social channels, coordinating social gatherings, onboarding new hosts and experiences, providing exceptional customer service, and representing the HostRooster brand.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Community Relations and Outreach (75%)

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with hosts and guests, fostering a sense of community.
  • Coordinate and facilitate social gatherings and events as needed.
  • Identify and contact potential new hosts, including hotel managers, guest home managers, mansion owners, country home owners, city home owners, bars, and restaurant owners.
  • Actively seek out new experiences and assist in onboarding experience managers onto the HostRooster platform.
  • Respond to inquiries and feedback on the HostRooster UserVoice platform (
  • Conduct follow-ups with new guests after bookings, ensuring a 365-degree feedback process.
  • Engage with inquiries and discussions on various social channels, including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
  • Reach out to potential influencers to join the HostRooster affiliate program (
  • Represent and champion the HostRooster brand during travel and networking events.
  • Conduct on-site visits to host places to ensure high standards and quality assurance.
  • Create engaging videos showcasing host places for publication on HostRooster's social channels.
  • Collaborate and engage with the CEO/CTO as required.
  • Assist in onboarding new affiliates.

Special Event Support (15%)

  • Provide support for hosting special events and gatherings, contributing to the success and positive experience of HostRooster's community.

Other (10%)

  • Perform other duties as required to support the goals and initiatives of HostRooster.

  • High level of customer service acumen.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity and tact in interpersonal relations.
  • Proven ability to network with community resources, build relationships, and create community partnerships.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Ability to maintain energy, resilience, and a sense of humor when personal resources are challenged.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Proficiency in maintaining timely and accurate files on the company's SharePoint system.
  • Ability to adjust to the ever-changing needs of the organization and multitask efficiently.
  • This is a remote position and may require long periods of sitting at a computer.
